Founder & Board Member
Candice Sabiduria is the Founder of To Be Seenn. She built her career as an international curve model and creative director, while channelling her work as a culinary creative into her commitment to public service. The idea for To Be Seenn began with a conversation, and the idea to reimagine what food philanthropy could look like. Candice met a man experiencing homelessness who became her friend, and their conversations stayed with her long after. Later, during a stay in Cape Town, the idea took shape. "I didn't set out to start a nonprofit. Cooking has always been how I show love, and I just wanted him to know he mattered. That conversation is where all of this began." That belief became the foundation for every dinner since. To Be Seenn hosts immersive dining experiences that treat guests as honored company rather than recipients of charity, built around a strict no-faces, no-names privacy standard at every gathering. Since incorporating in November 2025, To Be Seenn has earned 501(c)(3) status and hosted events in Cape Town and Los Angeles, with New York and London experiences planned for 2026. The organization's goal is to expand and provide support in cities around the world, sparking lasting change one table at a time.

Mamie brings compassion, experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of the people the organization serves, as well as a human-services perspective that helps connect the organization's dining experience with its deeper purpose - to provide dignity, comfort, hope, and encouragement when people need it most.

Monique Lopes
Board Member
Monique Lopes brings experience in brand strategy and storytelling. She leads marketing at a music technology company bringing culture, AI, and tech to the music scene. Her involvement with To Be Seenn is deeply personal. Through her own healing journey, she discovered a calling to support women navigating trauma and recognized in the organization's vision the same belief she carries: that every person deserves to be seenn. Monique serves families in the inclusion department at her home church, a reflection of her belief that service isn't something you schedule, it's how you live. A lover of fashion and intentional living, she brings a creative eye and a deep care for how people experience healing and living in their truth. Whether at a dinner table, in a community, or in the quiet moments where someone simply needs to know they matter, she believes the table is one of the most powerful places to remind someone they are worthy.
