What is To Be Seenn?


To Be Seenn is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that hosts intimate, curated dinners focused on people transitioning out of homelessness, domestic violence, and recovery. We believe a single evening of being truly seen and served can shift something in a person's life.Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. To Be Seenn Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 41-3494270). All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How is my donation used?

Every donation goes directly toward our mission. This covers two things: the experience itself (food, setting, and venue costs for each dinner) and the essential operations required to keep the organization running (website, banking, and software). To Be Seenn is entirely volunteer-run — no salaries, no personal expenses, no travel costs are covered by donations. Every dollar goes toward the table, not the team.

Where do the dinners take place?


We partner with local organizations in each city — shelters, churches, and community partners — to host dinners where they'll have the most impact. Recent dinners have taken place in Cape Town and Los Angeles, with more cities planned.

Can I attend a dinner as a guest?


Guests are identified and invited through our community partners — organizations already working with people transitioning out of homelessness, domestic violence, or recovery. We don't take open public sign-ups for guest seats, in order to protect guest privacy and dignity.

How can our organization become a partner and refer guests?


We're always looking to connect with shelters, churches, and community organizations already working directly with people in transition. If that's you, reach out through our Contact page — we'll walk through how the partnership works and how guests are identified for upcoming dinners.

Do you photograph or post about the guests?


No. We never photograph or share guests' faces, names, or identifying details. Protecting guest privacy and dignity is a non-negotiable part of how we operate. (See our Guest Privacy Policy.)
